Central Greenwich Children’s Centres

Family Support Workers

We are committed to providing effective, timely and responsive early help for children 0-5 years and their families. This includes:

  • Working together to provide a child centred approach
  • Providing appropriate intervention early in a child’s life or if a problem emerges
  • Early interventions and support help to achieve the best possible long term outcomes for children and families.

The main element of the Family Support Worker's role is

  • to engage with the family in the home and/or the children's centres
  • to deliver parenting support and advice.

As an early help service “family support work” should primarily be with those families that are below the threshold for statutory intervention.

We have 4 Family Support Workers, one in each of our centres
