Central Greenwich Children’s Centres

Family Forum

What is a family forum?

A Family Forum is to a Children's Centre what a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is to a school. Local parents and CGCC staff meet informally (always around a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits) to talk about:

  •  the activities, services they would like to have in our children's centres,
  •  organising fundraising activities to fund holiday provision activities such as family days out
  •  engaging with the local families
  •  spreading the words about the free activities CGCC offers

At CGCC, parents/carers have a key role in shaping the activities/services we provide. The Family Forums give them the opportunity to meet with CGCC staff, share their views and meet other parents/carers.
